Tutti Frutti: God bless Big Jazza

Delighted to see the BBC are releasing John Byrne's Tutti Frutti on DVD. The story follows the Jubilee Tour of a Scottish Rock group from the 60s. As the plot unravels the skullduggery surrounding the management of the group and the colourful characters which surround it make for the most entertaining works I have ever seen. Don't be put off by the accents the humour is infectious. The series features Robbie Coltrain and Emma Thompson (with a very good Glasgow accent). Richard Wilson's Eddy Clockerty (the group's manager) is unsurpassed in the annuls of characterisation and the rest of the case excell. Look out for Byrne's Your cheatin heart (if it ever becomes available) with his wife, Tilda Swinton.
