The Day the Music Died: February 3rd 1959

February 3rd 1959, was a particular important day in the history of popular music and for the first time, the rock’n’roll generation had to bare the sad loss of three high profile, heroes, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. The fatal plane crash would rob the music world of three wonderful talented artists. Over half a century later it is still unclear what happened to the plane on the fateful night. Conspiracy theories abound and author, Larry Lehmar discusses many of them in his book, The Day the Music Died: The Last Tour of Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, and Ritchie Valens (2004) .
